Spa Party

Last night, Tiffany hosted a spa party at her house for her friend Blakely who sells BeautiControl products.  I've never done anything like it before, but it was lots of fun.  We got to sample most of the products and eat lots of good food.  I learned the following at the party: 1)Tiffany thinks you open wine bottles with can openers, 2)if a dress code is not specified on a party invitation then teachers will wear sweatpants, 3)Marie and I can eat an entire block of cheese in under thirty minutes, and 4)there are people in Alabama who think that being Muslim is "kinda like being Methodist" (wow).   Here are a few pictures from the night.  That's Baylor and Marie on the left and Katie, Tiffany, and Meg on the right.  They are correctly using their ring fingers to apply eye cream.  Apparently, the ring finger is the pansy of fingers...it's too weak to damage the sensitive skin around your eyes.  Don't I work with pretty teachers?

Twilight Trip

These are the female Bearcat teachers - Me (language arts), Tiffany Cummins (social studies), and Meg Herring (science). Our male math teacher is very patient with us...he just ignores our scheming and screaming. Two weeks ago, we purchased our tickets to Seattle for Spring Break. This sounds like a great trip to a big city, but our intentions are mischievous. Our favorite book, Twilight, takes place in a small town on the Washington coast. Also, the second movie in this same series begins filming in March in Oregon. We have plans to land in Seattle, immediately rent a car, and drive to Oregon where we can scope out the film set. We fully plan to crawl through bushes with our zoom lenses in order to get pictures of the cast and crew. Husbands will be on-call in case we need to be bailed out of jail in Oregon. After the drive to Oregon, we're going to drive to the Olympic National Park which borders the town of Forks where the book takes place. We'll be the people on the side of the road taking pictures next to the city sign. We will also be wearing matching t-shirts that we purchased after viewing the movie for the fourth time (sixth time for Tiffany). THEN we will drive to Seattle to sight-see and eat excellent food. Our friends say we are crazy...they are just jealous.

Millie the Goat

If you haven't heard, a goat has been living with us for the past two weeks. It's been interesting. Most people think it's adorable but I'm guessing that these people haven't had livestock living with them before. Millie spends her days in a dog crate, and she wanders around the kitchen while we're home at night. She's recently learned to jump onto the kitchen table and over the baby gate.

There is a possibility that Nathan will have to give Millie back to the vet school. He's not too thrilled with this idea, but he doesn't want to be charged with a "stolen property" offense either. He'll know by tomorrow.

If Nathan gets to keep Millie, she'll be moving to Kentucky this weekend. Then I will mop my kitchen floor five times.
