Green Acres...

A few weeks ago we had to collect the netting that was over the grapes. Here are some shots of our work.

Animal Antics

Millie Goat peeping out of her stall.

Two new chickens from a lady that Nathan works with. The last "original" hen was murdered this week. Investigation is still underway. Possible suspects: Greta, Kate, Blackie the Rooster, coyote, hawk, or a conspiracy involving more than one of these animals.

Which One's Pam?

Here's the amaaazing shirt that Tiffany got me in New York City at the NBC store. Tiffany and I share a passion for The Office. More specifically, we are some of the few people in the world that appreciate Creed, an old man on the show. Here's Creed giving his opinion on plastic surgery. He's saying, "Au naturelle, baby. That's how I like them. Swing low, sweet chariots." Oh Creed...so inappropriate but so funny. Thanks Tiffany!

Wedding Day!

Anne and Jeff exiting the 1904 Oldsmobile that belonged to Jeff's grandfather.  It started after the ceremony but then died.  The groomsmen pushed the couple around the block.

Food table at the reception.  The flowers were beautiful...fall colors.

The newlyweds entering the reception hall for the first time.

The Kunzes with the groom.  We were so excited for Jeff!

Cutting the cake.

Looking mischievous.

All four Kunzes.

The gang at the reception - AJ, Jenny, Jim, me, Nathan, Travis, Ashley, Brent.

Nathan blowing out a table candle after we sang him Happy Birthday...28 years old!

Highlight of the night.  Jeff played "Ants Marching" with the band from Nashville.  We all agreed that he was better than the hired guitarist.

The full band with Jeff.

The crowd going WILD while Jeff was playing some Dave.  Only our generation can truly appreciate the song...except for Nathan who hates Dave.

Kerry with the microphone singing.

Anne and Jeff's exit to the limo!

Jeff's Rehearsal Dinner

Here are a few pictures from Jeff and Anne's rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. Awesome weekend.

The guys lined up in the sanctuary. Notice Brent...he was having a lot of fun.

Remembering Matt Hooper

Matt and I had adjoining rooms at AJHS for three years. We got to know each other well. More specifically, Matt learned all of the things that drove me crazy and did these things repeatedly just to see me riled. If someone sent out an email looking for a missing table, Matt would reply to the entire school, "I think I just saw Kunze walking down the hall with a table that matches that description." At faculty meetings he seemed to always get to the sign-in sheet before me. I would get the sheet, find my name, and see the signature "Turd Ferguson" next to it. Grrr. I would look up and find Matt grinning.

Matt would really get me squirming when he would deface my documents when I wasn't looking. I get a new agenda for a meeting, look at the principal, look back at my paper, and there would be a scribble across the entire page. Or a little cartoon or character would appear on my stuff. I would grit my teeth and exchange Matt's clean document for the one he messed with.

This past week at my new school, we had our second faculty meeting of the year. I was sitting next to Miriam, our computer lab teacher, whose classroom is across from mine. She's hilarious and I really like her. I was listening to my principal, and I grabbed my calendar to make note of some dates. That's when I saw it on the top of my calendar book - a little smiley face. I looked at Miriam who was suspiciously attentive to the principal's announcements, but she was grinning from ear to ear. I couldn't help but think of Matt and AJHS.
