So, this weekend was the first of three consecutive weekends with Scott, my big brother. This was the least exciting weekend (but the most relaxing) so look forward to the other posts. I left for Panama City Friday after school and didn't drive back until today. The girls at dinner tonight asked me what we did. After thinking, I realized that I mostly sat in different locations. In the car. On the couch. At the pool. In a restaurant. In a movie theater. In my opinion, the more sitting you do, the better the weekend. I literally only walked for two reasons - if I needed to get to the car or if I needed to get to the pool. Perfect. I didn't have to think about selling the trailer, packing the trailer, cleaning the trailer, etc. Scott has a nice apartment outside of PC, and it only takes about fifteen minutes to drive to Pier Park or the beach. We tried to eat at Stinkys, an awesome restaurant past Grayton Beach, but after the hour drive, we found that Stinkys was out of business. It had changed to some fancy, white linens, classical music joint. We opened the door, looked at each other, and turned around to find the car again. We ended up at The Red Bar in Grayton Beach. Good music. Good food. The first picture is me with the old Stinkys sign and the second is the two of us at The Red Bar. We also watched The Masters, and Scott was pretty upset that Kenny from Kentucky didn't win. Sunday night I wanted to see Adventureland so Scott agreed to go. Even though this is advertised as a comedy, it's really a drama. I really liked it. Oh, we ate breakfast every morning at a dive calledCorums. Think Waffle House but not a huge chain. Grease every morning. Thinking again about the weekend, I also realized that we listened to a lot of music. Surprisingly, our musical tastes overlap a little. Scott and I recommend the following bands: The Verve, Radiohead, Band of Horses, Pearl Jam, The Raconteurs, Kings of Leon, The Foo Fighters. Check them out.
I hope Weekend with Scott: Part II results in a sold mobile home. Maybe whenever someone comes to looks, Scott can pose as another interested buyer who had just shown up moments earlier?
